Cornerstone Family Schools (CFS) offers a variety of extra-curricular athletic activities for its member students. The CFS athletics program has been developed and continues to grow with the purpose to promote student development spiritually, mentally, socially and physically through Christ-centered athletic competition. All athletic endeavors are to be done “For God’s Glory,” not for the glory of individual participants and/or teams.
CFS offers opportunities for students in grades 6 through 12 to participate on its teams. At the junior high level (6th thru 9th grade), the goal is to develop both the character and athletic ability of the student-athlete. At the varsity level, focus continues on developing character and exemplifying a positive Christian attitude at practices and games, but the competitive nature of athletics is also recognized.
CFS athletic opportunities include the following:
Fall
Boys and Girls Cross Country 6th-12th
Boys Football 6th-12th
Boys Soccer 6th-12th
Girls Tennis 9th-12th (Possibly a few meets for 7th and 8th graders in 2022)
Girls Volleyball 6th-12th
Winter
Boys and Girls Basketball 6th-12th
Spring
Boys and Girls Track and Field 6th-12th
Girls Soccer 6th-12th
Boys Volleyball 9th-12th
Boys Baseball with Heritage Christian School
All costs for CFS athletics are shared by the participants on the teams.
CFS teams compete against schools in the Metro Christian Athletic Association league in basketball, soccer and volleyball as well as against other Christian schools and some public schools in all sports. Coaches and coordinators for CFS athletics serve as volunteers. CFS is an approved school with the Kansas State High School Athletics Association (KSHSAA).
