Fine Arts

Cornerstone Family Schools offers many opportunities for fine arts participation!

Choir:

The Cornerstone Family Schools choir program is open to Cornerstone students who are in grades 4 – 12. Currently the choirs are divided into three groups:  the treble choir, for grades 4 – 6 with unchanged voices, the satb choir, grades 7 – 12, and Deo Gloria, a smaller, select high school group whose members are selected by audition, and who commit to additional rehearsals, more individual work at home, and more performances than the larger choir groups. The choirs are directed by Dorothy Iliff. Students wishing to be in the high school choir must sing an audition for voice placement.

If you have any questions about what is available in music, please contact us.

BAFA:

Since the late 1990’s Cornerstone students in grades four through twelve have been privileged to participate in the Mid-American Association of Christian School's Bible, Academics and Fine Arts Competition. Each spring our students compete with other Christian schools in the Mid-America region in the areas of Bible, academics, art, music and speech. This venue provides an opportunity for students to experience many different events in these areas and to develop their God given talents for service to the body of Christ. Qualified ninth through twelfth graders are eligible to compete nationally in the American Association of Christian Schools tournament.

Nationals take place in Greenville, South Carolina on the Bob Jones University campus each spring. CFS students have participated nationally in all areas and placed in many events. Cornerstone has our own in-house qualifying event to determine who will represent CFS at BAFA.
